My Story: Why I Do This Work

It All Started With Words

I've been drawn to words and writing my entire life. There's something about putting pen to paper that centers me. It's where I come home to myself, where I hear, listen, and release what I can't carry any other way.

But for years, I struggled with the same thing you might be feeling now.

I was stuck in my head when it came to creating content for my business. It felt like there was a layer of energy over my throat and heart, like my voice was locked inside me. 

And when I did manage to create something, it felt flat. Unclear. Inconsistent. My energy was scattered, and so was my flow. 

I didn't just have writer's block. I was frozen, for years. 

My breakthrough came when I discovered I could write my content first before trying to speak it. That simple shift changed everything. It unlocked a channel inside me. Suddenly, my energy aligned, and my words flowed.

Tapping into this place within me that allowed my words to flow took a ton of weight off of me. I no longer stress about what to post or when. I reflect on my notes and simply show up and turn on the camera, the right words haven't failed me since.

This took practice with writing, something I had never expected would help with video views, followers, attracting leads, and creating content that converts. When we learn to write from our hearts, we reach the hearts of others. This emotional resonance is key in business building today. It can affect your bottom line dramatically, and at the end of the day, your job satisfaction goes through the roof because you move into aligned, creative fun!

But my connection to writing still runs deeper than business...

When 9/11 happened, I fell into one of the deepest depressions of my life. Writing became my lifeline, the one place I could feel, heal, and process.

Years later, after my sister's suicide, I wrote a poem that poured out of me in the rawest moment of grief. That poem was eventually published. And in that moment, I understood that writing could hold what nothing else could.

When I began building my own businesses, I realized that same creative flow that helped me heal could also help me communicate clearly, honestly, and powerfully with the people I was here to serve.

That's when everything changed. 

Today, I'm the founder of the SoulPreneur Prosperity Academy. I've been coaching SoulPreneurs and building businesses for over 20 years. I've created business and marketing courses, coached business owners, and run multiple successful businesses both online and brick-and-mortar with our family owned endeavors.
